Meet the Landmark Pattern Testers

Erin Kroeker Holding Landmark Quilt Pattern

Would you mind if I take a minute to sing the praises of my pattern testers? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - pattern testers make the world go round!

These humans are like none other. They quietly work behind the scenes, catching my mistakes and typos, and providing me with feedback, encouragement and support. They do all of this while also creating unique and beautiful quilts in colour palettes I never would have come up with.

Seeing their quilts is one of my favourite parts of the design process. I fully believe they each need their moment to shine! So without further ado, let’s meet the Landmark testers!

Meet Claire of @madejustsew

Claire lives across the pond in Stratford Upon Avon, UK - otherwise known as Shakespeare’s town! Her business started with creating Keepsakes & Memory Bears, but has grown to also include quilts, patterns and more! Claire has been a long time tester of mine and I’m sure you can see why!

Meet Kendra of @piecefabricco

Kendra is the newest pattern tester to join our group! Kendra runs an online fabric store out of Grande Prairie, Alberta. Kendra and I quickly bonded on Instagram over bold lipstick, comfy sweatshirts and a love of fabric. We later learned we also had connections to small town Manitoba! Make sure to check out Piece Fabric Co. for a wide selection of fabric, bundles and more.

Meet Janice of @prairieandocean

Janice and I are both originally from Winnipeg, although we didn’t actually connect until after she moved to sunny California. Janice has completed her PhD and is a scientist by day, and an exceptionally talented quilter in her spare time! Janice has also created a pattern for the cutest dragon you ever did see named Boris! The pattern is available as a fundraiser for Feeding America and I highly suggest checking it out.

Meet Jennifer of @piperautumndesigns

Jennifer runs a fantastic Ohio-based fabric store called Piper Autumn Designs on Etsy. She claims to be a “Pattern Testing Enthusiast” in her Instagram bio, and I wholeheartedly agree! Jennifer is my pattern tester who creates the most ideas and mockups before settling on a final decision. Luckily, she can take all of these brilliant ideas and create fabric bundles for her shop! Make sure to check it out.

Meet Laura of @finleyfabric

Laura and I originally connected over our love for dogs! She is also a quilter and fabric store owner. Laura and I have worked together on a few pattern releases now and I always appreciate both her eye for colour and attention to detail! She has also released a few patterns and they’re certainly worth checking out.

Meet Nikki of @wovenandwoolly

I have worked with Nikki for a long time now, and let me tell you...she is basically the gatekeeper! She makes sure no typo, mathematical error or mistake gets through! Seriously, it’s incredible. In addition to her editing wizardry, she creates colour swatch chips for quilters! She has Kona Cotton, Art Gallery Pure Solids and Peppered Cottons.
